Refund Policy

Refund Policy

Last updated: 23rd July 2026

This policy explains when you can get a refund for your SpeakX subscription payment, and how the refund works. Please read the points below carefully.

1. When you can get a refund

You can get a refund of your current subscription payment if, in your current billing cycle, you have completed 5 or fewer exercises. Exercises done during a trial are not counted.

If you have completed more than 5 exercises in your current billing cycle, the payment is not eligible for a refund.

Only your current billing cycle's payment can be refunded. Payments from earlier billing cycles are not eligible.

You can request a refund even if you have already cancelled your subscription, as long as you meet the condition above.

Summary:

Exercises done in your current billing cycleRefund of your payment
5 or fewer (including if you did not use the app)Eligible
More than 5 exercisesNot eligible
Trial amount (at any time)Not eligible

Note: You can see how many exercises you have completed in your current billing cycle on the home page of the SpeakX app.

2. Understanding your billing cycle

Your billing cycle is the period covered by your current subscription payment. It begins on the day your payment is charged and runs for the length of your plan:

  • Monthly plan — about one month
  • Quarterly plan — about three months
  • Yearly plan — about twelve months

Your exercise count is measured from the start of your current billing cycle (the day of your payment). Exercises you completed during a trial are never counted. Only your current billing cycle's payment can be refunded — payments from earlier billing cycles cannot.

3. Examples

The amounts below are only examples to show how the policy works.

Example 1 — Trial exercises are not counted

  • During your free trial you did 5 exercises.
  • Your subscription was then charged — ₹299 (a new billing cycle begins).
  • In this billing cycle you did 5 exercises.

Result: ELIGIBLE — you get a full ₹299 refund. Only the 5 exercises in this billing cycle are counted (the 5 trial exercises are not), which is 5 or fewer.

Example 2 — Low usage

  • Subscription charged — ₹299.
  • In this billing cycle you did 3 exercises.

Result: ELIGIBLE — you did 5 or fewer exercises in this billing cycle, so you get a full ₹299 refund.

Example 3 — Higher usage

  • Subscription charged — ₹299.
  • In this billing cycle you did 8 exercises.

Result: NOT ELIGIBLE — you did more than 5 exercises in this billing cycle.

Example 4 — Exactly 5 exercises

  • Subscription charged — ₹299.
  • In this billing cycle you did exactly 5 exercises.

Result: ELIGIBLE — 5 or fewer exercises qualifies. (6 or more would not be eligible.)

Example 5 — Trial usage does not affect it

  • During your free trial you did 10 exercises.
  • Subscription charged — ₹299.
  • In this billing cycle you did 2 exercises.

Result: ELIGIBLE — only the 2 exercises in this billing cycle are counted (trial exercises are not), so you get a full ₹299 refund.

Example 6 — A payment from an earlier billing cycle

  • You want a refund for a payment from a previous billing cycle (an earlier month).

Result: NOT ELIGIBLE — only your current billing cycle's payment can be refunded; earlier payments cannot.

Example 7 — Low trial use does not help

  • During your free trial you did 0 or 1 exercise.
  • After the trial, in this billing cycle you did 6 exercises.

Result: NOT ELIGIBLE — only the exercises in this billing cycle are counted, and 6 is more than 5. Your low trial usage does not change this.

4. What is not refundable

  • Trial amount. The trial amount is never refundable. Only a paid subscription payment can be refunded.
  • Payments where more than 5 exercises have been completed in the current billing cycle.
  • Payments from earlier billing cycles. Only your current billing cycle's payment can be refunded. Payments from previous billing cycles (earlier months) are not eligible.
  • A payment that has already been refunded. A payment can be refunded only once.

5. How and when you receive your refund

  • Approved refunds are sent back to the same account or card you used to pay.
  • It can take up to 7 business days for the money to reach your account after the refund is approved. Actual times may vary depending on your bank.

6. Subscription and payment

When you start a trial or subscribe to SpeakX, you agree to a recurring fee for your chosen plan (monthly, quarterly, or yearly). This fee is deducted automatically (autopay) from your linked UPI account at the start of each billing cycle. You give this permission (a UPI AutoPay mandate) when you start your trial or subscription, and SpeakX cannot deduct any amount without your permission.

  • Any additional charges applied by your bank or during a transaction (for example, transaction fees) are your responsibility.
  • We recommend keeping enough balance in your UPI account so your access to SpeakX is not interrupted.

7. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel your subscription at any time — from the Membership page in the SpeakX app, or from your UPI app.

When you cancel:

  • Your autopay is stopped, so you will not be charged again.
  • You keep your Premium access until the end of your current billing cycle.
  • Cancelling on its own is not a refund — refunds follow the rules above.
